The Salvation Army

Founded in 1865, it operates in over 130 countries, providing essential services such as food assistance, shelter for the homeless, disaster relief, addiction recovery programs, and support for families in crisis. In Canada alone, the Salvation Army serves more than 2.7 million people each year, offering hope and practical help to those facing poverty and hardship. Donations are critical because these programs rely heavily on public generosity to fund meals, emergency housing, counseling, and community outreach. Every contribution helps ensure that vulnerable individuals receive not only immediate relief but also long-term support to rebuild their lives. This holiday season, Helix Corporation is supporting the Salvation Army by serving as a Toy Angel Christmas Tree Drive donation centre in Edmonton, Alberta, providing a convenient location for community members to drop off gifts and help brighten the holidays for local families. Little Warriors
Little Warriors, based near Edmonton, is a national charitable organization dedicated to the awareness, prevention, and treatment of child sexual abuse. Through programs like the Be Brave Ranch, they provide intensive, trauma-informed care for children and teens who have experienced abuse, offering therapies that help reduce PTSD, anxiety, and depression while restoring hope and confidence. Their educational initiative, Prevent It!, empowers adults across Canada to recognize and prevent abuse before it happens. The need is urgent—one in three Albertans report experiencing sexual abuse before the age of 18, including 44% of girls and 24% of boys. Helix Corporation is proud to sponsor Little Warriors, supporting their mission to change lives and create safer communities for children.
4-H Alberta
4-H Alberta is a youth development organization that has been empowering young people across the province for over a century. Guided by the motto “Learn to Do by Doing,” 4-H provides hands-on programs that teach essential life skills such as leadership, public speaking, financial literacy, and agricultural knowledge. Each year, between 5,300 and 5,600 youth, supported by over 2,300 volunteers, participate in projects and programs that foster confidence, responsibility, and community engagement. These initiatives not only prepare youth for future careers but also strengthen rural and urban connections through experiential learning. HSL AAA Alberta Crew Hockey Team
